Assisted Living: Our Newest Senior Community Offers It All
MorningStar of Rio Rancho is an artfully designed community that includes serene grounds, resort-style amenities and services, and the latest technology. Our gorgeous interior is designed by the award-winning specialist, Thoma-Holec Design, and includes inviting common areas to relax in with friends and families. Unlike many senior living communities, one- and two-bedroom suites in assisted living will be supplied with stacking washing machines and dryers. Residents will have the chance to enjoy New Mexico’s mild weather in outdoor spaces that include expansive courtyards featuring artwork and trellises, strolling paths, resident gardening areas, and a barbecue with outdoor kitchen and fire pit.
All residents are treated to delicious, daily meals prepared largely from scratch by our Executive Chef and served restaurant-style in our charming dining room. To ensure the well-being and safety of residents, we provide around-the-clock Care Managers and full-time licensed nurses, who are on call 24/7. We also offer wellness programs and activities, scheduled transportation, and road trips to local areas of interest.
While in a residential setting, we are just one block from Presbyterian Rust Medical Center and many banks, shops and restaurants. Glimpses of the Heart
Serving seniors has dramatically changed my life as they are some of the
most valued people in our society. To care for those who once cared for me is one of the highest honors. While science and technology have radically changed our world, some of life’s lessons do not change from generation to generation. Seniors have decades of experience to share, and I enjoy unlocking that knowledge.
Seniors teach me to be better, to give of myself freely and generously, to
listen quietly and really hear what is being said. MorningStar combines faith with service. Including God in the everyday life of the community helps us to remember why we chose this field, and how important it is to be faithful servants—to our higher power and to those we are charged with caring for.
Dir, Community Relations
My sweet southern grandma, Pearl, taught me the importance of always
looking for joy and happiness in any situation. When she was diagnosed with dementia, I tried to do just that. Eventually, she did not recognize me or my daughter Jessica Pearl so it was necessary for us to reintroduce ourselves. Each time, her face would light up as she exclaimed “Pearl? My name is Pearl!” That brief moment of joy and laughter brought light to an otherwise emotional roller coaster. MorningStar’s holistic approach through Lavender Sky to thoughtfully enter, embrace and explore with with the memory-impaired is why I feel blessed to join the MorningStar family.
